Sketchbook Meditation Series EP.06: From Darkness to Light with Angie Mason

Hello! Welcome back to the 6th episode of my Sketchbook Meditation Series. I’m Angie and I’m going to guide you through this sketchbook Meditation. In this particular session we’re going to be going into the darkness and making our way through back toward the light, releasing all of the toxic energy noise buildup in our brains and clearing paths creating more space in our minds for creative positive energy to grow new ideas.

I hope you are cozy, and whether your starting or ending your day I hope this sketchbook meditation session is healing for you and that you feel more grounded after.

Now let’s create some space in our minds and empty them onto the page. Please join me in this 30 minute guided sketchbook meditation! This daily practice of even just 5 minutes can really do wonders in helping keep our minds clear and creative and most importantly grounded during times of chaos. Grab your pencils, paints and paper and let's get to it! This video is meant to be listened to so please turn your audio on for the full experience. Now let’s begin.

Angie Mason is a mid career artist, born in Northern New Jersey and a graduate of Parsons School of Design in New York City. Her prolific visual career has crossed many creative boundaries. Having had solo exhibits in NYC, Berlin Germany as well as having her artwork shown all over the world in numerous group exhibitions.  She has also been in the design world working in the toy, dot com and publishing industry.

"As a visual person having a wide scope of all visual angles allows for me to constantly examine ideas in new ways that allow for greater discovery and growth within myself and the work."

Mason's works are both horrific and humorous, yet speaks of what it means to be human.  Angie visually explores the darkness and light we face in life through the creation of character narrative works. Primarily she presents the work as paintings and drawings. Varied influences are found within her work ranging from such things as nature, love, relationships, dreams, memories, humor, loss and health to name a few.
